When to start a baby on water?

We're looking for some advice from weathered parents. Whether it be a teaspoon to a couple of ounces (30 mL).

When to start a baby on water?
3+ months.
6+ months.
1 year.
Over 1 year.
Whenever the parents decide.

For the first year, the majority of the food is coming from formula. We put Trenton on jar baby food at 6 months, but I nursed him and mixed that with formula for the first 8 months. Water can be given at anytime, really, it's up to you. Even adding that baby cereal is ok at this age, but it will fill her up fast. I will send you an email of what they suggest when it comes to jar baby food, they even have a way of starting that when it comes to babies.

I've read some horrible stuff, though, from doctors saying that giving water before 1 year can cause seizures and comas...... Please...
