"Haasaahh!"

Leia's favorite thing to say is "haasaahh!" We have NO idea what it means. But she LOVES when you repeat it. She will sit (most usually) in her high chair, raise her arm and hand to the ceiling and say "haasaahh!" She doesn't say it, she whispers it. And it is creepy. It is even creepier when she puts both arms in the air.. :/ It means something important, but we haven't figured out what it is yet. :/

She will take her right index finger and point at her left hand palm, and that means that she wants to play with your hands. She likes to take them and clap them and move them around in the air. :/ :)

I'm still sick. Coughing pretty bad today. Fredrik is getting sick. Leia is almost better. I think I'm getting better, but it is lingering.

We are still going on our morning walks. Still doing our "construction walks." They are laying cables under the sidewalks.. so it is a big mess. The stroller tires really need air. They are almost flat.. And we can't find the pump that works. We have pumps, but there is only one that we could find to buy that works. :/ And of course now we can't find it. :/ Going to have to get a new one then I guess. :)

Fredrik isn't looking forward to being sick. He has lots going on at work. He's been measuring for optic cables in Bengtsfors. Tomorrow he has to go to the most northern part of Bengtsfors' township to measure property lines. And then he might have to go 2 hours south of Bengtsfors to Trollhättan to measure some stuff there for a railroad and for a soil analysis. If he has to go to Trollhättan then he will just drive his work car home. He refuses to drive to Bengtsfors and then try to catch a bus home. :/ :) But he won't know until tomorrow morning if he has to go there or not.

We are really considering getting the fireplace fixed. It would be a good investment and help with heating costs during the winter. We contacted someone before. And it is ½ the fireplace that needs to be taken down and rebuilt. But he said that for it to be done better, the whole thing should probably be taken down and rebuilt, and the cost wouldn't be that much different. It would cost 30 000 sek, or 5000$. We contacted the guy last summer, and he said that it would be a few months before he could even come and look at it, and then of course you go on a list. So, who knows how long it would take to get to it.. :/ :) But we think it is going to be the next thing we do with the house.

Today someone came and picked up the old oil tank that we cut out of the cellar. A guy came with a big truck and it had a big arm that crushed the metal is if it was paper, and it took all of like 5 minutes.

Leia is a booger.. like always. Her favorite thing to do is to carry around pillows. She is still impatient with a bad temper. :/ We hope that we can break her from both of them as she gets a little older.

Fredrik's work get together went well yesterday. The meeting was supposed to last 3 hours, but they had a new, organized, female boss.. :) And the meeting only lasted 2 hours. :)))

I've been doing a little Swedish here and there inbtwn washing dishes and doing laundry while Leia sleeps. I still have to start my other class. :/ I keep forgetting to contact the teacher. Ehh.. :/ :)

Hmm.. rainy and cold.. :/ hovering around 9-10 degC (48-50 degF). Always overcast and it is getting darker every day.. Typical Swedish Fall. :) We've been waiting as long as possible to turn the heat on, but I don't think we are going to be able to wait much longer. Hopefully we can get the fireplace fixed. Would be so nice to have it working.. and plenty of wood from the summer house to use. But not so much fun to keep Leia from it.. :/ :))

Fredrik is looking forward to his eye appointment on Saturday. And I have an appointment for a test to renew my American driver's license. Hopefully the woman there won't have any trouble with translating the eye info.. It isn't the same here as in the US. I have had it done once before, when we were living in Nynäshamn (Stockholm), and the guy had no problem with it. He actually thought it was pretty cool that you have to renew your drivers license so often, and that you had to have an eye exam each time. But even though we have such strict rules with our driver's license, you STILL can't transfer an American license for a Swedish license........ Ehh..

:) More soon!
