Sleeping, energy, and cold.

It is COLD. I mean, really, really cold.

It is -9ºC (16ºF).
And the wind chill is -17ºC (1.4ºF).
But it is no where near as windy as yesterday.

The pellet burner is going full blast but the house is still freezing. But that isn't so surpring with how cold it is outside. This is when we really wish the fireplace worked. Another expensive thing that we really should try to get fixed.

I am munching on some homemade banana nut bread that I made on Thursday. :) Super yummy.

Leia, Leia, Leia...
We're not sure what is going on with her. :/ :)

Night before last she went to bed at 19.00 and woke up at 21.00 and wouldn't go back to sleep until after 23.30. She is refusing to sleep. But she isn't unhappy! She only gets unhappy if we try to put her to sleep. Otherwise she just wants to play and is very content.

But last night, she went to bed at 19.45 and slept straight until 05.00. But she has refused to take a morning nap. She took her milk and fell asleep, and then like she has recently been doing she starts crying when you put her in bed. And she opens her eyes and starts smiling and laughing. And she thinks you are there to take her out of bed. And then when she realizes you aren't, she starts to scream and cry.

She has lots of energy. But she isn't interested in sleeping. So.. we are just letting her do her thing right now. Whether it is a growth spurt, a cold, teething, her tummy.. we have no idea. But she can work it out herself.. :/ :) She'll sleep when she gets tired. But forcing her just isn't worth it right now. I think she might be fixing her schedule, too, so that she might start to sleep the whole night through. With the time change coming up.. that will push her sleep back an hour, and then sleep an hour longer in the morning. So .. we'll see what happens when she settles down again. :)

She is extremely happy, though. :) She just doesn't want to sleep. :) She wants to play and move around. She isn't that interested in eating, either. She will tighten her lips together, and you have to pry them open with a finger and pop the nipple in, or you have to get her to start crying, and then you can get the nipple in obviously. And then she will start to eat and fall asleep straight away, and then you have a 50-50 chance of her waking when you put her in bed.. :/

She's drooling like the devil, though. And she is spitting up a lot still.. :/ Much more than what I think is normal. But all we can do is tell the BVC nurse again, and listen to a bunch of jibberish that means absolutely nothing. Lots of ideas on her part, but no kind of expertise at all. But that is the way it is here...... I guess you only see a pediatrician (barnläkare) if there is blood or the child isn't breathing?! *grumble* I don't like it that she doesn't have regular doctor check-ups. *grumble*grumble*

Fredrik is always surprised when we go through so much milk on the weekends and holidays, and then I remind him that he doesn't eat breakfast during the week.... :) So of course the milk is going to be gone faster when he is home.. :P

Leia is presently in her walker, playing with an adorable purple elephant that she got at her baby party. Pappa is sleeping in bed, as he got up with Leia at 5 so that I could sleep, so he is taking a nap. Caesar is sleeping in bed with Pappa. And now I've gotten to write some, I think that I will do a little school work and straighten up a little if I can. :)
