The girl.. wow. She was entertaining to say the least. She.. would just grab something and run. She would grab a toy Leia was presently playing with and run. She grabbed lighter fluid and tried to drink it, matches, a tent stake, and she grabbed a plastic fork and put the sharp teeth against her throat and started running........ The child was a horror. We found out that has 5!!!! siblings, including a 3 month old... Which means there could be a child like that in Leia's class....... :/
The mom came and stayed for awhile but then she had to leave... and it was.. wow.. We laughed a lot but it took about 5-6 of us to round her into a corner and take things away from her. One little boy grabbed her once and held her so we could take the matches from her.
Angelica's father hid scratch-on tatoos around the campground, and the boys were hunting for them, and the girl said she found something, so we were all happy for her, and she walked up to us and she had a very, very old nasty pacifier.... :/ And then she started playing with a bag with dog poop in it... :/
Not sure if it is ADD or what.. but she could NOT sit still. And she knew very well what she was doing, because everytime she didn't something she shouldn't she would say "Are you going to tell my mom??"
She was a horror.
But entertaining. It gave us all something to talk about and make fun of. :/ :))
It was just really annoying that the mom left, and that she didn't warn anyone about the problem. :/
Here are plenty of pictures from the 3 hours we were there:
Alonnika very much wants to babysit for us. :) And we really like her, and at the party, we got to see that she is fantastic with children. She'll be able to speak perfect English and Swedish with Leia. Which is great for Leia to have more native English speakers in her life.
I took 4 dozen (48) brownies! And they were very well received. They loved them. I even got a complaint that they were the best ever tasted. :) So I am very proud. :))
There was lots of language switching all over the place.. :) Angelica doesn't know very much Swedish, so there was English for her.. and then her parents kept switching back and forth with English and Swedish when talking to me. :) I got to practice plenty. :) Especially when I did my part in trying to calm down the maniac-clepto girl. :/ :D
One of the boys was excited about saying something when he ran up to Angelica, and he was talking really fast, and I went closer to him and got down to his height and said "Men älskling.. hon kan inte svenska.." (but darling, she doesn't know Swedish), and he had the funniest look on his face because of course he knew that.. he had just forgotten in his excitement.. :))
And of course everyone loved Leia. :)
Even a few of the 8 year old boys poked at her and smiled at her and all that. :)
