I think the fan thing is very common. While at church in the US, Leia laid in my lap and just stared at the ceiling and mom commented that all the babies fall asleep while watching them.
We don't really like her TV habit, but.. not much can be done.. :/ :) And it is a practical babysitter when necessary.

She LOVES the TV.
