1 year today.

One year ago today we moved to Åmål. Any regrets? I don't know. We've had maybe 2 serious conversations about if it was the right decision.

Job-wise for Fredrik, it was a better decision. House prices were rising like crazy in Nyköping, and getting a house here is very cheap. Closer to the summer house, much, much closer. We'd always wanted to live in Åmål.

Regrets include leaving friends, for him and I. I had school friends and he really enjoyed his workmates. Construction workers can be fun, I suppose.. lots of strange stories to tell and they are very "normal" people. :) We had absolutely no loans and now we have a house loan.

And I got pregnant while we were there, so I had imagined life there with a baby. And I sorta think I miss experiencing that. :/ :) Weird maybe, but I really liked living there. I didn't like it there at first, when we first moved there. But I very quickly started liking it. We loved our neighbors, and I had a wonderful Canadian living across the street, who had also found out she was pregnant.

We were closer to Stockholm then, which is better for traveling.

But we have a house now.. :/ :) And that is a weighted pro.

Strange to think though that we have lived here for a year. We only lived in Nyköping for 1½ years.. Doesn't seem like we have lived here for a year. :/ Sometimes I walk around in the house, and everything still seems so new, as if we've been here for a couple of months.

Things don't look much different than when we moved in and were living out of boxes.. :D Difficult to move when you are pregnant.... I couldn't carry anything. So Fredrik had to be home to help unpack things. He worked a lot that summer, too, having just started work and there was much work to do on the project.

And then we started renovating Leia's room, and that really took any of our free time. And having no closets in your house makes a difference on how easy it is to unpack. :/ :)) We had to buy lots of closets and put those together, and once again, I couldn't carry or do anything during the day.

But at least now things are looking better. :) I reorganized the entire kitchen yesterday. :/ :))) Got rid of some things and it is much nicer now.

And a picture of Leia trying to have 2 pacifiers in her mouth at once.. :D She had a pile of pacifiers on the floor infront of her, and she was going through each of them, trying them. Trying to find the best one?

She is really, really constipated, though. :/ We've been trying to help her, but there is only so much that Mommy and Daddy can do.

And she loves playing with DVD cases. So we leave out some here and there, and if she can get to them, we let her play with them. It is so exciting for her to play with them, it is like a treat.. :/ :)

Yesterday she pulled herself to her knees by holding onto the couch. She tried to go to her feet, but Pappa was a little afraid of her falling, and once he got near her to give a piece of mind to us, she lost interest. :/ :)

This morning she almost pulled herself all the way up to her feet by holding onto the coffee table, but she fell on her butt instead. :) The first time she has fallen on her butt.

She's 6 months old.

She needs a little more upper body strength to help pull herself up, and she's going to be crusing the furniture in no time.

Fredrik is at the dump. Getting rid of boxes we've received from the US. Mamma is going to shower. Leia is hopefully going to get a nap. And then Pappa and I have some things to do: carry an extra door that we don't use to the garage downstairs and carry up the bench to go with the outdoor furniture.

Not the most fun picture of our house up at the top. :/ :) It was taken by the seller, before we moved in, probably in the Spring time. Now everything here is green and growing like crazy.
