Up and running.

I really liked the previous layout, but I was having lots of trouble with it, so I picked a new one. :P I had to fix a lot of HTML/XML coding problems in Blogger with my account.
I still have lots of things to work out and fix, so be patient. :) But at least now the worst is over.

Blog change.

Please bear with me again while I change the blog layout yet again.

Kitty-Kitty.

Leia now says "yes." :)) It is very cute of course. She whispers it and it sounds more like "essss." :)

She also says "dat," which means "katt/cat." And not only does she say "dat" but then when you repeat and say "katt" she laughs histerically. :)) She LOVES her Kitty-Kitty, as we have named him.

She doesn't say "no" or "nej" but she has her own word "neh."
("We are the knights that say "Ni!")
If you offer her something and she doesn't want it, she will push your hand away and say "neh."

I forgot to take Leia's kitty with us to daycare this morning. :( They were lost without it I think.. :D So I took it with me when I went to pick her up, and needless to say, she was very happy to see him. :)

She ended up hugging him all the way home:

And this is what it looked like in Åmål at 09.30 this morning:

Cute, button nose.

Another child bit Leia's nose at daycare today. :(

When I saw her from across the room, I thought she had blue youghurt on her nose. She came running to me and a teacher came with her and explained that another child bit her. There is a bite mark on the top of her nose and a bit of bruising, and then bite marks underneath, between her nostrils. When I first saw it there was dried blood, and a clear liquid coming from it.

Needless to say, I wasn't exactly happy, but tried to not show too much unhappiness. I just said "det händer" (that happens) and I left it at that.

She made it a point to not say who it was, but I surely hope that she tells the parents of the child, so that the behavior can be worked on. Fredrik thinks it is one of the newer children. I have no idea which one it could have been.

Leia seems un-phased, as children are. She touches it, it might hurt, I just hope it heals well without any scars.

Schindler's List is on TV. :(
I hate watching Schindler's List. I start crying from the beginning until the end.
I can only watch certain movies once and then never again.

Fredrik and I are much better. A cold that lasts for one day?!
We are both coughing a little, and we have lots of icky stuff coming out of our noses, but besides that, we are much better.

It started snowing awhile ago and it still is. Annoying but I love it. :)
It isn't Winter without lots of snow.

Leia received some cute presents yesterday in the mail. :) From "Aunt" Yamini and "cousin" Vanya. :)) A few Hello Kitty items from their recent trip to India.

Then I remembered that first thing on Saturday we went to a toy store, an I bought Leia this:

Fredrik said that he is certain that Leia is going to think Hello Kitty is God when she gets older. :))

Shopping in Säffle.

Friday night Fredrik asked me what I wanted to do on Saturday, and I suggested we take the short drive to Säffle and just look around a little. We went to Lindex (a chain clothing store) and looked at the baby items. They had a fantastic sale and we got lots of great items. I wasn't really planning on getting anything, but you can't pass up baby clothes on sale! :)

The exchange rate has finally changed a bit more back to normal between the dollar and the crown.

A few things Leia needed. They "complained" at daycare that she gets angry when she can't pick things up, so we made sure to get her some gloves with a thumb.

Maybe not too exciting, but I don't have anyone to show them to in person, so my Internet World gets to see them instead. :)

We were going to then go to McDonald's for some lunch, but the place was completely crowded. All the baby seats were being used and there was only one free table and plenty of people in line. Lots of Danish people travelling on their way up North for skiing.

So we decided to waste some time and look through the huge COOP grocery store.

Then we went to another clothing-chain, KappAhl, but we didn't find anything there that caught our eye (especially since we just got so much clothes).

After wasting about an hour, we went back to McDonald's.. and it was still as crowded! The same people were still sitting and eating. So after awhile we decided to go to Harry's. Fredrik and I went here last summer for our anniversary, by ourselves - since we had babysitters! :) The place has great food. And we were starving by the time we got there. It ended up being dinner instead of lunch. :) Leia had her first restaurant meal. :) She had fish and mashed potatoes. She really liked it, but the mashed potaotes were a little too salty for her.

After we were done eating, another family showed up and sat near us. They were a mom and dad, twin boy and girl about 7-8, and a little boy, Daniel about 2. The little boy was in-love with Leia. :D They were very attracted to each other. :)) It was sweet. :) He kept getting out of his chair and coming over to her. :) And she did the same once she was out of her highchair.

Ahh.. and some pictures from the morning before we left:

But now it is bedtime, I'm really tired. :(

Sjuka.

Fredrik and I are sick. :T Go figure. We both have colds. Leia is fine. Leia and Fredrik are both napping. He hopes to only miss work today and go back tomorrow. He has too much stuff to do to miss two days this week.

I need to add some pictures from our weekend! We went shopping in Säffle.

None of us have been doing very much. :/

Leia had daycare on Monday instead of today (Tuesday), because I thought I was going to be working and all that. But her schedule will go back to normal next week (Tue-Thurs).

Not that much to write I guess.. :/
Pictures later!

Those things babies do...

Yesterday, Fredrik found Leia's pink kitty in the toilet..

A nice surprise.

I have been feeling a bit depressed, and today I noticed that it was worse than I thought. But I received a phone call and it made me feel much better!

Leia's BVC nurse, Berit, called!
She called to say that they had forgotten to give Leia one of her vaccines! There are 6 and they only gave her 5, so we made an appointment for her to get the last one.

We ended up talking on the phone for about 20 minutes (all in Swedish of course), about my "job," life, family, friends, school and everything else under the sun. She has always been so nice to us and it was really fun to chat with her. She was at work of course, so I suppose she had a few minutes free.

I know I have my English speaking friends that really care about me, but it was nice finally having a Swedish person chat with me for awhile about lots of different stuff and be genuinely interested. This is possibly the first time. (Besides teachers.)

And "nana" definitely means "banana."
I asked Leia if she would like a banana and she replied "nana?"

Leia remix.

We did a horrible job editing together videos of Leia dancing* to her favorite song. But here it is:

*She only behaves this way when she hears THIS song.

It is like.. she has so much "dance" in her that she just can't get it out. :))
