Bread.

I spent today baking bread....... :))
Fun.. but it takes time. :) And a dirty kitchen.

I made:
- 1 banana nut loaf
- 1 braided egg loaf
- 2 walnut and wheat+rye loaves
- 3 whole wheat loaves

Walnut loaves.

Braided egg loaf, before and after rising.

Baked egg loaf.

Whole wheat loaves, before and after rising.

Baked and smells yummy! (Baked with honey.)

I know I haven't written in awhile, and it is getting late. :( So I will make sure I do that tomorrow!

And good luck to Mormor. :)
She is getting admitted into the hospital tonight and she will have surgery tomorrow to have one of her knees replaced. :) On Tuesday she will start rehabilitation.

Spring.

Early Mother's Day present.

Fredrik bought me an early Mother's Day present. :) He's been wanting to get one for a long time, but when he thought about it as a present, there was no store that carried them, and most stores had no idea what he was talking about.. :P

I love it!! :)
It is a table and work area to work on my plants. :) It is oiled very well so it will be very okay to leave outside. And then during the Winter or when we are away, we can set it in the kitchen infront of the window there, and put the outdoor plants on it. It is perfect!
Although I secretly think he got it so that I won't leave dirt on the pellet room floor... :P :))

We also have an open pipe on our property at the bottom of the hill, where the roads cross. It was put in not that long before we moved in, which is why the sidewalk on our property was torn up (and never replaced - which is a constant project Fredrik has - is getting Åmål to repave the sidewalk - they claim that there was never a sidewalk there - even though we have the edges of concrete in our yard!!!) - but anywho.. :P

Working in construction can be a good thing.
Fredrik asked the "Belgians" (even though there is only one Belgian working on the project now) ... if they had an extra pipe cover. (From the sanitation project in Bengtsfors that Fredrik works on.) So Fredrik got a pipe cover and he sawed the underside of the lid so that it would fit the ground - and it turned out perfect! So now Åmål has no excuse to not repave the sidewalk - since we made sure the pipe is properly covered.

A pretty big pipe, though, huh?? :/ :)

And our rhubarb is doing very well! I can't wait for it to grow and make some fresh pies. :) MMmmm..!

Meat eater.

Leia is a meat eater.
For awhile she only ate veggies and fruit -- now she only eats meat!!

I fixed a taco salad for dinner today, and I gave Leia some, thinking "why not?" and she ate lots of it! Without hesitation she at several serving spoonfuls of meat and cheese. :) She wouldn't eat the lettuce or the tortilla chips. :) This isn't the first instance since her non-eating phase that she will eat heartily when we have red meat for dinner.

The pellet burner died yesterday and we've been trying since then to get it going again. :( We thought it would start working today, but it didn't and Fredrik came home super-early from work to start working on it. A guy will come by around 10.00 tomorrow, so Fredrik is burning wood in the burner so that we can have some heat. It is really cold in the house, and of course that means we also have no hot running water. :( So no baths and no clean dishes. :( The guy thinks a safety latch was disconnected, or something like that. So it hopefully won't be too difficult or expensive to fix.

Leia slept for 1 hr 40 mins at daycare today! :) A new record!

Moonwalk and flying cars.

A video cut into 2 pieces, from the beginning of January.

I love this video. Leia was so happy and content during this period.

New clothes.

The pants are a size 92 (2T), and they are a little long on her. But they roll up at the bottom and snap in place, so they can be under the knee or full length. Had to get them this size, because they were the size that went around her waist! And they are still tight.

This is a shirt and I got it really big, it is a 110-116 (5-6T). It comes down a couple of inches under her butt, and looks like a short dress. She can wear it for a long time!

Fell in love with this dress when I saw it! This is a 98-104 (3-4T) and fits her just fine. It is a little too long, but she'll grow into it, but it is tight around the waist.

Pink, stocking leggings, and white pants. Both 86 (18 months) and they *just* fit her.

I don't understand how she can not eat and still have that belly!!

Iffy.

Iffy? Ify? Hmm..
But anyways.. Leia was a little iffy today. She was pretty okay while she was home, but not so good while we were out today. She wouldn't eat anything today besides gröt, so she had a portion for breakfast and one for dinner, and we tried to get her to eat other stuff inbetween. She did have a bite of peanut butter for lunch, at least it is plenty of protein and fat.. and makes her drink plenty of liquids.

But I have tons of pictures from today, so I'll put those on tomorrow. :P
Today we went hunting for glass jars so that I can make some rhubarb jam, and we ended up going to all the stores in town, and even all the stores in Säffle and nothing. :(

I did have a 25% off coupon for baby clothes at KappAhl (is that how it is spelled??). They also had choose 3, pay for 2 deal. So I got 3 pieces of clothing, and then used the 25% off on a white pair of pants and some pink leggings. They are all cute and all interchangeable.

Fredrik and I watched an *awesome* movie tonight! Called "Trick or Treat." The beginning was good, but it started going downhill around the ½ way point.

This morning, Fredrik took the Volvo to a garage to change from the Winter, studded tires to the normal ones.

Tomorrow Fredrik goes back to work. First he has to go to Mellerud and change tires for his work truck, and then I think he is stopping to work in Bäckeförs (Bäckefors?? - I'm horrible with adding Ös where they don't belong.. :/ Stupid Dalsland dialect!!! It has ruined my Swedish!!) on the way to Bengtsfors.

Leia goes back to daycare tomorrow. It has been a long time since she has been there, and we REALLY think she needs to return. :)) She needs the stimulation. She definitely gets SO much out of it. It is expensive for her to go - especially since I am home to care for her. But not only is she going so that I can have a few hours to myself during the week, and have time to get things done more easily, but we are sending her mostly so that she can interact with other adults and other children. Which is *so* very important. And it doesn't hurt for her to have some time away from Mommy. :)

The day in pictures.

Helping Mamma make waffles.

Enjoying a little strawberry jam, Daddy's favorite on waffles.

But peanut butter is better! A little strawberry jam, peanut butter, and unsweetened whipped cream with waffles is what every baby needs!

Today Daddy bought some chalk.

A bit of coloring on the rock beside the deck, but it was best to just take the chalk in and out of the tub.
