Caesar was in the garage.. :D

He must have found a way in when it was raining and couldn't find a way out again. He is a little thinner, but very happy to see us. :)

Missing kitty.

Caesar is missing. :/
He's been missing for a week now.
Last time we saw him was the night before we left. He probably came home the morning we were packing and all that and he probably got scared (like he always does - cause he hates going in the car) ... and he probably ran away then.

When we got back yesterday, the neighbor said she hadn't seen him once during the week. :/ :(

We are a bit worried. This is only the 2nd time he has been away this long.

So we are hoping he will soon come home to us.

Blogging withdrawl.

Now we are home from Höglekardalen. :) We came home a day early because we have an American BBQ to attend on Saturday, and we didn't want to come home on Friday and be unrested and rushed to put food together for Saturday.

I haven't missed the Internet while we were away, but I have definitely missed blogging. :)

Vacation rule #1:
It isn't wise to go fishing in the mountains when it is rainy, when you are allergic to mosquito bites. :/





I have about 500 pictures of our trip.. :D So I'll put some on here and there when I get a chance. :)

Today is Morfar's 64th birthday! :)

"Practise Driver"


Yes.. I am now a legal driver in Sweden....
Even though I've had my American drivers license for 13 years.... I am now allowed to drive in Sweden. I have my learner's permit.
When you move to Sweden (from the US), you can drive for 1 year with your license, but then you have to get a Swedish license. It is expensive, that mixed in with bad timing and laziness, has pushed the drivers license back and back and back.

This evening we packed up the car as much as we could. We are very excited for our trip to Höglekardalen. :)

We talked to the neighbor today a little and gave him some keys to the house. He and his wife are going to feed Caesar while we are away, and water the plants (in and out) for us.

So.. so long.. :P :)
I'm sure I'll have a few pictures to share when we return.. ;)

Leia, Leia, Leia...

At least in this picture there is no doubt that she is a little girl. :)) You'd be surprised about how many people call her a boy when she is wearing all pink.

She woke up at 01.00 this morning. :/ Fredrik and I hadn't had much sleep before she woke up and we took turns trying to get her back to sleep. She was fine if we'd hold her but when we put her in bed, she wanted to have us touching her, and that just can't happen all night. :/ :) So I tried putting her in bed with us, and she just screamed and didn't want that. So we finally gave in and gave her some milk and she went to bed finaly at 03.40. :/

So Fredrik and I are very, very tired. :/ We are certain that it is her teeth. We didn't give her any baby tylenol last night, but we gave her some tonight. Hoping that it will help her sleep. We've had some trouble putting her to sleep tonight. Not a problem getting her to sleep, but she just wants to be held or touched while she is in her crib. It is a comfort thing, so we are certain it is her teeth. More coming I suppose. :)

Fredrik's workmate, one that he gets along very, very well with, and picked him up for classes in Karlstad got Fredrik some yummy treats to say 'farewell' since Fredrik is going on vacation. :) Very sweet. :)) The man and his wife have a... petting zoo of sorts. :)) They have horses, and miniature horses, a cat, etc.. and even a pig that lives in their house!! Fredrik told him that we will be bringing Leia by sometime so that she can see all of the animals. :) When he dropped Fredrik off, he stepped in the house to meet Leia.

Very warm today. A big, dark cloud showed up for awhile and it got very cold and rained a couple of minutes. Then it quickly disappeared and it was hot again.

We are trying to pack for our trip. Try to pack the car up as much as we can tomorrow so that we can leave as early as we can on Saturday morning and take a slow drive North.

We've been watching lots of movies and playing our domino game. :) I think we'll be playing it again tonight. :P

She won't take it in a bottle, and we've tried a normal cup, and she isn't interested at all.

I think Fredrik is good to go now for vacation. He had one big thing that he needed to finish before taking his 4 weeks off, and he finished it up today. This week a guy from Gothenburg was supposed to come up so that Fredrik could teach him how to use the brand of equipment ... but the guy has been sick this week. Which has left Fredrik with more time to get things together for his workmates who will be filling in for him while he is away.

It has been great having Mormor + Morfar here. Fredrik gets up with Leia and gives her breakfast before he goes to work, and then Mormor + Morfar get up with her when he leaves, and I get to stay in bed all morning. I really need the sleep. I think I am falling asleep okay, but my sleep isn't very restful. So those morning hours are very important sleeping hours for me right now because that is when I am getting my best sleep.

Morfar is helping with mowing the lawn, and Mormor is washing lots and lots of dishes. Fredrik and I have cleaned and straightened lots in the cellar, and I've gotten to finish a few things here and there ... lots of little things I haven't been able to get to since Leia was born.

Leia is cruising around the furniture more and more and she is standing a lot more on her own. :) She is sleeping well and eating well.

We are trying to get everything together for our trip. :)
Not much else happening I suppose. :) Enjoying the nice weather and walks. :)
